i have an 00 r1 rear wheel in my black z1r.

soo i needed a matching front wheel.

well i didn't wanna stick it in the old front end.so i got an 05 gsxr 1000 front end.

the r1 and gixxer use different axles.dia.length blah blah blah.

they don't jive.

i machined the head end of an r1 axle to fit the gsxr frontends width and not loose any thread length.the threads already seemed kinda short to me {-_-}.

then i had to machine out a couple of custom aluminum pieces to make the yamy wheel jive with the geezer front end.

here are a couple pics that show too much,
but not enough .
i will get some pics of the pieces taken apart to show my safe, but elegant solution.

a pair of rock island armory tactical 1911 .45 acp's.
i just finished the jeweling on the one on the right.

the one on the left is my personal 1911.the one on the right is a friends that i chamfered the hood and polished the chamber, throat and frame,as well as jeweled the chamber.

mine has the same work done. [-_-]

this is a set of cases for a yamaha blaster with a big bore and 6mm stroker crank.i had to bore the top of the cases out for the big bore and machine them deeper to clear the skirt.

then i had to go in and trench the cases so the rod (that hangs out past the edge of the crankwheels)had enough clearance to live a nice happy life.

here is the offset countershaft sprocket all welded and machined ready to roll.
