03/04 zx 636 swingarm converted to fit a kz700.
05/06 zx 636 wheel installed in the arm with some custom machined spacers.
he wanted to use dual shocks, but they interfered with the caliper.
so i sliced the caliper bracket apart, rotated it back enough to clear the shocks and mounts.
i cut an aluminum piece and welded it into the sliced caliper bracket.now the caliper clears the shocks and brackets.
i did a frontend conversion for a guy in missouri.
gsxr onto a zrx.
when i was trying to press the stem out of the zrx triple the aluminum piece i was using to press with exploded, and bent my press up and bent the end of the stem and smeared the threads.
so i machined it down, welded it up and cut some new threads on it.
i did not have a die handle.but,i had a triple tree that the die would fit in the leg hole of.
so i machined a steel slug that i could hold in my drill chuck in my tailstock.
i made it a slip fit and greased it so i could use it to stick in the leg hole to keep the die square while i cut the threads.
i turned the lathe by hand.
the threads came out really nice and square.
the gsxr triple was thinner than the zrx triple,so i had to machine an aluminum spacer and press it on the stem to make up the difference.
you can't see it when it is installed unless you kneel down and look for it.
if you live in alaska,in a lil suburb outside anchorage.
and,you are building a kz1000 based streetfighter style custom.
and,you want to use a suzuki tl1000 swingarm.
well then,
you need to hit me so i can make you some 6061-t6 adapters so the arm bolts right up!!!!!!!
just like it came from the factory that way :^).......
you don't have to live in alaska to have me do custom machine and fab work for you.
i ship parts all over the WORLD.

long weekends that pay off!!!!!!!!!
a friend of mine has this old rigid framed chopper he built back in 1979.
i have memories of watching him ride it from my childhood.
well the back bone broke.
he had some i-beam.
soooo, we built a frame jig >;o} !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we been needing this for a loooong time.me and all my buddies got all kindsa projects that need to be on a frame jig at some point.makes doing frame work a whole bunch nicer. and it is universal,
i can lock any frame i can dream up down on this.
so we fitted a new 1 1/2 inch .120 wall dom back bone.
in place of the original 1 1/4 x .200 or so wall thickness.
here is a crappy shot of it with backbone fitted.
unfortunately the camera died so i don't have pics of the finished tig welded out frame on the trailer heading down the road {-_-}.................
